Baker, Crane, & Day was established when Mahlon Day retired in 1845; however, by March 1847 it had been dissolved. Title vignette with a 4-line verse advertisement for children's books published by Mahlon Day. Each page contains a woodcut illustration with a short story and moral lesson. Last page contain a 3-verse poem, "A Spring Morning." Error in printing: illustration on p. 5 has two short lines of negative type in lower corner. In Near Fine Condition: upper corner of front wrapper creased; clean and bright. Very scarce. Near Fine. Item #003232
