Frontispiece is a photograph of Edward Gordon Craig in the garden of his villa at Genova, Italy. Edward Gordon Craig, son of actress Ellen Terry, was a theater director, critic, and theater designer. He published the first international theater periodical, The Mask, from 1908 to 1929.
