Back of title page contains engraved illustrated advertisements for cabinet organs sold by Root & Cady, 95 Clark St., Chicago (address on front cover is 67 Washington St.). Back cover contains an engraved advertisement for "The Musical Curriculum" by George F. Root, also published by Root & Cady (E.T. Root being the brother of George F. Root). Contains the lyrics for three verses of this famous Civil War song with piano accompaniment. In Good+ Condition: disbound; 2.5-cm. tear from lower edge of front cover; small section of paper lacking from lower edge of middle leaf and larger section lacking from fore-edge, without loss of music; 4-cm. tear from section lacking on lower edge, also without touching music; soiling and foxing, heaviest in the lower portions of the pages; otherwise solid.
