Endpapers contain publisher's advertisements. Each page has a decorative border. Front cover bears former owner's inscription: Cherley W. Stevens, Pittsfield, Mass. Includes a non-verse version of the story told in the verse "Mary had a Little Lamb" called "Lucy and her Pet Lamb." With the usual cautionary tales, warning children not to play on the stairs, or lean too far out the window, or go too near the horses. In Very Good Condition: edges slightly rubbed; small hole in cloth in front joint near top edge; pages 36 and 37 stained; occasional light soiling; otherwise clean and tight. Very scarce. Very Good.
