Muirhead, although the title page indicates that Baedeker (who died in 1859) was the author. The introduction includes Geographical and Geological Sketch, with Notes on Minerals, Climate, Immigration, and native Races by George M. Dawson. Former owner's name at head of front fixed endpaper: Theodore F. Jenkins, Philadelphia. Theodore F. Jenkins (1849-1940) was a prominent Philadelphia attorney; the Jenkins Law Library is named in his honor.
