Scott's historical novel features a Scottish archer in the service of Louis XI, who wins the hand of a fair lady. A scarce edition in original boards. In Good Condition: boards are rubbed and stained; nearly half of paper over spine is lacking; spine label is intact, though somewhat rubbed; ink stain on p. 264; foxing and light soiling throughout.
