Edward Gordon Craig, son of actress Ellen Terry, was a theater director, critic, and theater designer. He published the first international theater periodical, The Mask, from 1908 to 1929. Although it was usually published on a quarterly basis, this issue appeared "after an interval" and made up the entirety of volume 9. Among contributions both anonymous and pseudonymous by Craig and others, contents of note include: The International Theatre Exhibition in London at the Victoria and Albert Museum; Among the Visitors: How the Exhibition Appealed to the Women Writers; Real Acting or, Can the Actor Create? by G.B.
