This is identified as part of that series on the front dust jacket flap. Copyright 1909 by A.L. Burt Co.; no date of publication. Grosset & Dunlap acquired the rights to some of A.L. Burt children's books in 1938 from Blue Ribbon Books, which had bought A.L. Burt the previous year. This volume was part of Grosset & Dunlap's Madison Square Books series, issued under the restrictions imposed during World War Two; this series ended in 1945. Therefore this edition of Zane Grey's The Last Trail was published during the period 1941-1945. Former owner's name on front free endpaper. An unusual "western," set along the Ohio River in the days after the American Revolution when Ohio and Kentucky were the American frontier. Book is in Very Good Condition: ends of spine slightly browned; corners lightly rubbed; pages are browning, as is typical of this paper, but clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Fair Condition: lacking paper at ends of spine and upper edge of front section; old tape discoloration along lower edge; front section creased; chipping along edges; in mylar cover.
