Publisher's catalog of military books on pp. 46-72 following text. The author, Lieut. Oliver Ellsworth Wood, had served in the Connecticut cavalry during the Civil War, prior to attending West Point. He became a first lieutenant in 1870 and was discharged as a Brigadier General in 1906.
