Long and Brothers, was located at 43 Ann St., the address on the title page, prior to 1850 through 1853, indicating that this was published between 1850 and 1853. The author, Henry Cockton (1807-1853), is best known today for his novel The Life and Adventures of Valentine Vox, the Ventriloquist (1840). A scarce edition of a less well-known novel of this author.
