Gilt-stamped spine title and cover title; gilt-stamped cover decoration. All page edges gilt. Pale grey marbled endpapers. Foreword signed: John H. Ruckman, editor. Former owner's name on front free endpaper: H.C. Kawecki. This was most likely Henry C. Kawecki (1912-1973) who graduated from M.I.T. in 1934 in electrochemical engineering. He established Kawecki Chemical Co. (later KB Alloys) and held several patents.
