All page edges marbled. Marbled endpapers. Woodcut head- and tail-pieces. Running title: Essais de Politique, & de Morale. Front fixed endpaper bears armorial bookplate of P. Daubignard with motto "Tacio quid mihi placet." A few words written in an old hand on title page. Translated from English by Claude Pierre Goujet; imprint is false -- possibly printed in Paris.
