McLoughlin Bros. published at 30 Beekman St., the address on the front wrapper, from 1864 to 1870, and Vincent Dill's business address changed to 25 & 27 New Chambers St. in 1868. Part of the publisher's Cinderella Series. Wrapper title. First leaf and last leaf pasted down to wrappers; printed sides of leaves facing each other. Publisher's advertisement on back wrapper. Back of third leaf bears gift inscription to Margaret B. Sheaffer, dated 1872. In Good- Condition: wrappers separated long ago and have old stitched repair; wrappers are lightly soiled; back wrapper faded along upper and spine edges; 1-cm. tear from lower edge of front wrapper, without loss; 6-cm. tear from fore-edge of back wrapper with minor loss from publisher's advertisements; 3-cm. tear from fore-edge of 3rd leaf, without loss; 1-cm. tear from fore-edge of 6th leaf, without loss; shadow from old tape, since removed, around most tears; light finger soiling throughout.
