Back wrapper has publisher's advertisement for paper dolls and paper furniture. Pencilled Christmas gift inscription inside of front wrapper, dated Dec. 1867. No date of publication. McLoughlin Brothers was at 30 Beekman St., the address on the back wrapper, from 1864 to 1870. "Fairy Moonbeam's Series" -- at head of front wrapper. This is not the slightly later linen edition issued as part of the publisher's Indestructible Fairy Moonbeam's Series. Very scarce. In Good Condition: wrapper is separated along spine, with old repair via hand-sewing; wrapper slightly soiled with several small scrapes and tears from the edges without loss to printing; light soiling throughout; complete with bright illustrations.
