Contains medical reports on various topics including Dr. Addinell Hewson on his design for a sickbed, with an illustration (he soon afterward served as a surgeon with the Union Army during the Civil War). Dr. Addinell Hewson also presented a lengthy report "Some Facts in Relation to the Nocturnal Incontinence of Urine in Children" based on research at Philadelphia's House of Refuge in 1857, with separate tables for cases of enuresis in the white and colored departments of that institution.
