Contemporary dark green ribbed morocco with six spine compartments between raised bands. Gilt-tooled spine title and volume number in second and third compartments. Gilt-tooled decoration in remaining compartments; gilt-tooled leaf and tendril border on both boards with gilt-tooled center decoration, possibly initials. Gilt-tooled board edges and turn-ins. All page edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Three ribbon bookmarks. Woodcut head- and tailpieces and initials. Printed in parallel columns of French and Latin. Undated French inscription on blank leaf following front free endpaper referring to Jeanne Durant of Clermont-l'Hérault. In Very Good Condition: leather is rubbed, most heavily at corners of back board; occasional foxing, heaviest in first 74 pages; otherwise clean and tight. Very Good. Item #003284
