The works presented during the week were La Sorciere (Victorien Sardou); La Dame aux Camelias (Alexandre Dumas, fils); Adrienne Lecouvreur (Sarah Bernhardt); and Angelo, Tyrant of Padua (Victor Hugo). These appearances were part of Sarah Bernhardt's Farewell American Tour, 1905-1906. Includes advertisements for many Philadelphia-area busineses, including: F. Warrick, ladies' hair dresser for marcel-waving; the Duval Co. for proper facial massage; Wall & Ochs Opticians for invisible bifocal lens; and Stephen F. Whitman & Co for Whitman's chocolates and confections. Also: a full-page illustrated ad by United Fruit Co. for vacations by steamer to Jamaica, and a column of advertising for Arrow collars interspersed with jokes.
