Double gilt-ruled borders on both boards. Translator is William Kenrick. This volume contains Books 3 and 4 of the original Emile, or Treatise on Education. Banned and burned on its initial publication in 1762, Rousseau's important work on education inspired the new national system of education in France following the French Revolution.
