Bound with 1 leaf bearing advertising for the 1792 edition with the title beginning "Synopsis, or A Comprehensive View" and an excerpt from the Advertiser of June 5th, 1792. John Mead Ray (1754-1837), was the minister of the Independent Church at Sudbury, Suffolk, Eng., and the author of several works on religious themes. He was also involved in the formation and work of the London Missionary Society.
