Beige wrappers with wrapper title and illustrations; front wrapper illustration printed in red and green. Some pages unopened. The tree illustrations are printed in green and are signed F.W.G. for Frederick W. Gookin (1853-1936), the Chicago banker, calligrapher, and designer. About two years prior to the publication of this yearbook, he had left banking, and later he became the first curator of the Clarence S. Buckingham Collection of Japanese prints at the Art Institute of Chicago. He served as the Chicago Literary Club's secretary and treasurer from 1880 to 1920. The yearbook contains the schedule of talks for the 1907-1908 year, as well as the bylaws, the club's officers since founding, and current and former members. In Very Good Condition: spine and upper edges of wrapper sunned; wrapper is lightly soiled; closed 2-cm. tear in back wrapper; pages are clean and bright. Very Good. Item #003838
