Bound with three 8-page stories, each of which state at the foot of the final page of text: Sunday-School Union of the M.E. Church. No date of publication. The publisher's address on the title page is 200 Mulberry St., N.Y.C. The Methodist Episcopal Church Sunday School Union was located at 200 Mulberry St. from 1860 to 1869. In some editions, this title is credited to the author of "Children's Stories in Children's Words" Mrs. W. C. Wilson (Anne Carus Wilson). Contents: Faith -- The Good Son -- The Honest Boy -- The Sharp Sword -- The Circle of Fire -- Early Lessons. The three additional stories are: Fear Not -- The Woolly Bear -- The Little Ploughboy. First blank leaf has circular embossed stamp of Perkinpine & Higgins, Sunday School publishers and booksellers, of Philadelphia.
