Disbound from a larger volume. Each issue contains 16 pages, primarily music, in wrappers with black-and-white photographs on the front wrapper. The photograph of a bullfighter from Carmen on the front cover of the first part is by Becker & Maass, Berlin. The music is a piano realization, with some lyrics; accompanied by a few illustrations. At the upper edge of p.1 of each part is pencilled "Hans Gessler 1922." On the front wrapper of the second part in ink is "Hans Gessler." Music is complete. In Good Condition: lacking back wrapper of part 1; back wrapper of part 2 detached but present; paper is browning and brittle; lacking lower corner of pp. 7-8 of part 2, with minor loss of music; the same leaf has tear from lower edge to the gutter, without loss; clean and otherwise intact.
