Includes the plate of Florence Nightingale, not found in the List of Illustrations on p. [15]. Of the 3 double-leaf plates, 2 are panoramic views, (not maps as they are often described). Publisher's catalog on 4 pages following text. Former owner's name on front free endpaper. The Siege of Sevastopol occured during the Crimean War and lasted from Sept. 1854 to Sept. 1855. The author, Richard C. McCormick, Jr., was a war correspondent. In Very Good Condition: spine and edges of boards are faded; minor loss and fraying at head of spine; light foxing throughout; otherwise clean and tight. Very Good. Item #004134
