Publisher's catalog on final 32 pages of vol. 2. Small engraved bookplate on each front fixed endpaper for Henry P. Scott, with 2-verse poem and 4-line prose admonition on the care of books, if borrowed. This was probably Henry P. Scott of Delaware, the President of Wilmington Trust. The author, John Gardner Wilkinson (1797-1875) was an English traveller and writer who is known as the father of British Egyptology. In Very Good- Condition: deterioration of cloth primarily along spines and fore-edges (as seems to be typical of this binding); pages and frontispieces are clean and bright. Very Good -.
