Contains lyrics to 63 songs, without music. These include many popular songs of the time, including the occasional gospel song, as well as some older songs. Both sides of back wrapper list contents of nos. 1-20 of Beadle's Half-Dime Singer's Library. The publication appeared approximately weekly from 18 May 1878 and 29 March 1879, ending with No. 43. In later reprints the illustration was left uncolored. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: faint dampstaining along some edges; corner at head of gutter trimmed without loss of text; clean and intact.
