Former owner's name "Richard Parker" on blank leaf following front endpapers with date 10 Avril 1918, which was changed to 1928. No date of publication, but this title was advertised by the publisher in 1913. French author, diplomat, and musician Pierre Beaumarchais (1732-1799) is best remembered today for his plays The Barber of Seville, and the Marriage of Figaro. In Good+ Condition: spine is sunned, with only a suggestion of dark green left on the morocco; edges of boards are also darkened; both joints starting; pages are browning; loss of lower corners of title page through p. 16, without loss of text; pages and plates are clean and tight.
