Leary's Cheap Book Store, Philadelphia. Slightly overlapping that label is a small printed bookplate (large label?) on front fixed endpaper indicating this belonged to the Whitpain Library at one point. No other remnants of library ownership. The Whitpain Library Company was a subscription library established in 1817 in Broad Ax, a village in Whitpain Township, Pennsylvania; in 1884 it reported a collection of about 2,000 volumes.
