Includes all half titles and 4-page publisher's catalog, following text in vol. 4. Pages are untrimmed. Each volume has on front fixed endpaper the bookplate of Hansard Watt, who was the grandson of A.P. (Alexander Pollock) Watt (1834-1914), considered the first true literary agent. Hansard Watt and his brothers took over the agency from their father, A.S. Watt. Hansard Watt was also an author. The bookplate is a drypoint etching by Martin Hardie. Contents: The Betrothed -- The Talisman. In Good+ Condition: lacking some paper from spines, although the printed labels are almost completely intact; 3 of the boards are detached but present; edges are rubbed; pages are clean and tight.
