Pierre Francois Verheyden (c. 1843-1919) was a Belgian artist who lived in London from about 1870 onward; he was a sculptor as well as a caricaturist. Charles Clow Tennant, 1st Baronet (1823-1906), was a Scottish industrialist who was a member of Parliament from 1879 to 1886. His second wife, Marguerite Agaranthe Miles, was a talented amateur violinist for whom he bought the violin that was dubbed the Lady Tennant Stradivarius.
