Final 10 pages contain publisher's catalog. Embossed circular stamp on front fixed endpaper of binder: Elles & Middlebrook, New York. This volume was the first in the publisher's series Library of American Poets. Rufus Dawes (1803-1859) was an American poet; he studied law with Judge William Cranch, whose daughter Bertha he later married.
