Contains 21 short stories about the bond between people and animals in India. The author, Pinckney Alston Waring (1895-1978), was a Pennsylvania Quaker who spent part of his life working with American Friends Service Committee in India. The illustrations are by Vera Bock (1905-1973), a Russian-American illustrator and graphic designer. Book is in Near Fine Condition: slight discoloration on fixed endpapers from dust jacket; clean and bright.
