Publisher's maroon rib-grained cloth with gilt-stamped decoration and title on spine: Cruikshank's Comic Library. Both boards decorated with bind-stamped vase with flowers. All page edges gilt. Yellow endpapers. Imprint includes: Simpkin & Marshall, London; W.F. Wakeman, Dublin, and Adam & Charles Black, Edinburgh. Publisher's advertisements on final 4 unpaginated pages for Edward Lacey, London. No date of publication; thought to have been published around 1835. Engraved armorial bookplate on front fixed endpaper for Wm. M. Patten, with motto: "Virtus laudanda."
