A satire on Boswell's Life of Johnson, reprinted from The Casquet (Glasgow, 1835). Attributed to James Beresford on p. [2], but subsequently attributed to Alexander Chalmers. Apparently intended as advertising for the Marion Press, established in 1896 by Frank E. Hopkins. In place of a title page is a page stating that the booklet is printed in 10-point Old-Style no. 20, "a symmetrical and agreeable letter." First unpaginated page following text contains a list of 11 titles published by the press. Hopkins' A List of Books Printed at the Marion Press (1902) states that 250 copies were produced. Scarce.
