New York: Sammis & Latham, 1882. Cards. 5 cards 11 x 7 cm. printed in black on a gilt background. The cards present a father as he learns his wife has given birth to not one, not two, not three, not four, but five babies. Sammis & Latham published a number of comic cards in 1882 but that seems to have been the extent of their partnership. This set is sometimes seen as separate cards and sometimes, as here, attached in the upper corner. In Very Good Condition: back of cards slightly scraped; clean and bright. Very Good. Item #005487
