Checklist American Imprints, 9297. Charles Samuel Stewart (1795-1870) was a chaplain in the U.S. Navy. In this volume he describes Brazil, passage around Cape Horn, Peru, and the Marquesas Islands. In Very Good Condition: leather is rubbed; minor loss from spine labels; old repair on title page verso; 2-cm. closed tear from fore-edge of last page of text; foxing, heavy on a few pages; otherwise, clean and tight.
