Donated to the Kansas City, Missouri, Public Library by the editor, Clare Benedict, who drew from family journals and letters to recount her travels to Europe with her mother from 1894 to 1923. Small label on front fixed endpaper: "With the Compliments of Miss Clare Benedict, Credit Suisse, Basle, Switzerland." Bookplate of the library on the back fixed endpaper stating that it was "Presented to the Library by Clare Benedict." The various library markings consist of: a white call number on the spine; library identification stamped on all page edges; residue of the circulation pocket on the front fixed endpaper; Date Due grid and library name perforated on front free endpaper; the same perforated stamp on the following 4 leaves; and "Gift of Author" written on the title page verso. In Good- Condition: ex-library, as described above; lacking cloth at both ends of spine; cloth is separated for upper third of front joint; internally clean and solid. Good -. Item #005613
