Stamped at lower edge of first page and on last page: "Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology, Bryn Mawr College." Former owner's name at upper edge of first page: M.H. Swindler. Mary Hamilton Swindler (1884-1967) was the author of Ancient Painting (1930) and taught archaeology and classics at Bryn Mawr College. The author, Charles Dugas (1885–1957), was a French archaeologist, who specialized in the pottery of ancient Greece; he was a member of the French School at Athens and dean of the Faculté des Lettres de Lyon. In Good- Condition: first page and last page scraped along spine and partially separated; partial remains of library identification at head of spine on first page; fore-edges chipped; very faint dampstain along several edges; otherwise, clean and solid.
