Disbound from a collection of pamphlets owned by French homeopath Dr. Charles Ravel (1822-1887). In ink after "Bèclard" is written "père." The author, Étienne Pariset (1770-1847), was a French physician who founded the Société Protectrice des Animaux and was a doctor at the Salpêtrière Hospital, where he was the physician for the insane. Pierre Augustine Bèclard (1785-1825) was a French anatomist and surgeon who unanimously elected Professor of Anatomy in the faculty of medicine in Paris in 1818. He was the father of physiologist Jules Auguste Bèclard (1817-1887). In Very Good- Condition: upper edge of pages slightly darkened; small dampstain at tail of spine; foxing. Scarce. Very Good -.
