Pamphlet published during the 1922 campaign for governor of New York state. Alfred E. Smith (1873-1944) had served as governor in 1919 and 1920, when he was defeated for re-election by Nathan L. Miller. He won re-election in 1922 and served from 1923 to 1928. This pamphlet responds to arguments by Governor Miller's campaign that his administration had saved money. Scarce.
