Disbound from a collection of pamphlets owned by French homeopath Dr. Charles Ravel (1822-1887). The author, Étienne Pariset (1770-1847), was a French physician who founded the Société Protectrice des Animaux and was a doctor at the Salpêtrière Hospital, where he was the physician for the insane. Jean Antoine Chaptal (1756-1832) was a French chemist, physician, educator, and stateman, who served as Minister of Internal Affairs from 1800 to 1804. In Very Good Condition: title page slightly foxed and darkened; "92" written on title page and Chaptal is underlined, both in ink; otherwise, clean. Scarce. Very Good. Item #005876
