"Ch Ravel" written next to title; ink underlining of a few words on p. 2. Disbound from a collection of pamphlets owned by French homeopath Dr. Charles Ravel (1822-1887). The author, Louis René Villermé (1782-1863), was a French physician and economist, who helped to established the fields of epidemiology and occupational medicine. Destouet (1793?-1826) translated De Sedibus et Causis Morborum by Giovanni Battista Morgagni (1682-1771), earning the gratitude of the French medical profession.
