Disbound from a collection of pamphlets owned by French homeopath Dr. Charles Ravel (1822-1887). The author, Étienne Pariset (1770-1847), was a French physician who founded the Société Protectrice des Animaux and was a doctor at the Salpêtrière Hospital, where he was the physician for the insane. Baron Antoine Portal (1742-1832) was a French anatomist and medical historian, and a founding member of Académie Royale de Médecine.
