Consists of the first issues of this magazine (Jan., Feb., March, and April 1843), formed by Eliakim Littell (1797-1870) when he combined his The Museum of Foreign Literature, Science, and Art with the American Eclectic. One year later he sold it to Leavitt, Trow and Co.
