Illustrated dust jacket (in mylar cover) with advertisements for girls and boys series on the flaps. No date of publication. Back flap has advertisement for Boy Scouts at the Panama-Pacific Exposition, which exposition occurred in 1915. The list of the Rex Kingdon Series only includes the first three titles, published in 1914 and 1915; the last two titles were published in 1916 and 1917. Harry Castlemon was the pseudonym used by Charles Austin Fosdick (1842-1915), American author of books for boys. Frank in the Woods was first published in 1865. Book is in Very Good Condition: spine ends are lightly rubbed; lacking front free endpaper; pages are clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good Condition: loss at ends of spine; chipping at edges; closed 2-cm. tear from upper edge of front section; closed 3.5-cm. tear from lower edge of back section; small tear in center of spine; some separation along front flap fold; rubbed but clean and bright.
