Harrisburg: B. Singerly, State Printer, 1872. Hardcover. lxxi,[1], 372 p.: tables; 25 cm. Black pebble-grain cloth with gilt-stamped spine title "Penn'a. School Report 1872." Blind-stamped emblem of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania on both boards, which have triple blind-ruled borders. Former owner's name written on both fixed endpapers: "Levi Smoyer," 1873. This was probably Levi Smoyer (1833-1909) of Lehigh County, Pa., who served as a captain in the Pennsylvania infantry during the Civil War. After the war he became a lawyer and later specialized in securing pensions for veterans and their widows. In Fine Condition: clean and bright. Fine. Item #006603
