Dark green cloth with black and gilt stamped cover title dated 1903. All page edges red. George F. Cram (1842-1928) was the first American firm to publish a world atlas. This atlas was issued by several different institutions around the United States, the Philadelphia Inquirer being one of them. "New Double-Page Maps Of each of our New Possesions, also new double-page Maps of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans Never Before Shown in any Atlas." A heavy book; for international shipping, it will have to be sent by priority international. In Very Good- Condition: cover is lightly rubbed and soiled; corners rubbed and frayed with minor loss at ends of spine; hinges weak; front free endpaper creased; title page creased with closed tears of 2 cm. or less from the edges; lower edge of one map chipped; light finger soiling; otherwise, clean and tight.
