Indenture made April 24, 1866, between Robert Miller of Newburgh, N.Y., and David Miller of Newburgh, N.Y. [mortgage for Carter St. property]

1866. 1 printed mortgage form filled in for a mortgage between Robert Miller and David Miller, both of Newburgh, N.Y., with 50 cent surety bond stamp initialled by Robert Miller. Robert Miller mortgaged his property for $400 to be paid in six years. The property was a 50-x-180-foot lot on the south side of Carter St. in Newburgh, N.Y. In 1868, Miller sold the eastern half of the lot to William Maxstead. Signed by Robert Miller and witnessed by S.B. Beveridge. Signed by John F. Bingham, justice of the peace for Orange County. Pencilled notations about disposition after letters of adiminstration were issued to his widow, Jane Miller, in Nov. 1875.
