Handwritten letters on stationary of the Hotel Devon in Cape May, N.J., 1894
1894. 4 leaves containing one 5-page letter from M. H. Collins to her husband dated July 6, 1894, and one 2-page letter from their daughter, Esther Collins, dated Aug. 5, 1894. The Hotel Devon was built before 1890 on S. Lafayette St., Cape May, and consisted of two frame houses joined together (the structures were destroyed by a fire in 2001). The letterhead indicates that the hotel was being managed by Mrs. T. R. Brooks at that time. In Very Good Condition: starting to separate at a few of the folds; lightly soiled; complete. Very Good.
