Lists promotions and appointments made by the President since the publication of the Register in Jan. 1824. These were in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th regiments of artillery, the 4th, 5th, and 7th regiments of infantry, and others. Charles J. Nourse (1789-1851) was Acting Adjutant General of the Army from May 8, 1822, to March 7, 1825. Among the promotions is that of Topographical Engineer Isaac Roberdeau (1763-1829).
