Gilt-stamped cover title over chromolithographed pansy in purple and orange, with small illustration of a river in the center. Back cover is a chromolithographed pansy in white and yellow with text advertising Hood's sarsaparilla and a small illustration of a sailboat on water in the center. Text throughout advertises Hood's Sarsaparilla with illustrations of pansies, water scenes, and children. Hood's Sarsaparilla was founded in 1875 by Charles Ira Hood and became one of the largest patent medicine companies in the United States. No date of publication; probably around 1890. In Near Fine- Condition: spine is rubbed; small hole at upper right edge suggesting someone pinned this to a wall; chromolithograph cover is bright; pages are slightly brown but clean and tight.
